Tagging is the process of giving a label, a name or short description to a blog post, an article, photos and videos and other digital content. Assigning a tag to your blog posts group them into different categories. Each category contains web objects (posts, photos, videos, links, etc. ) with related content and you can use the tag you used to refer back to these contents in the future.


Today, new search technologies make use of tagging to index or group related contents for easy navigation. Tagging coupled with social bookmarking becomes a new way for many to build traffic and rankings.
